From Pickleball Courts to Web Projects — My Journey Helping Local Businesses

How a simple game turned into real community connections and digital projects.

From the pickleball court to real-world projects with local businesses.

Pickleball started as a simple hobby for me — a way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy time outside. But over time, it became something much bigger. It turned into a bridge between my personal life and my professional work.

Building Connections Through Community

Every time I play, I meet new people: restaurant owners, small business managers, students, and professionals. We talk about the game, life, and eventually their business challenges. Many of them need help with websites, menus, SEO, or digital updates. Because we already know each other from the court, they feel comfortable asking for help.

That’s where my work begins.

Turning Conversations Into Projects

I always keep a few business cards with me. After a good game or a friendly conversation, I hand one out — and surprisingly, it works. People call me. They trust me. They know I’m real, local, and easy to talk to. That’s how I’ve built long‑term relationships with restaurant owners and small businesses.

Some restaurants use USB‑based menu systems because they don’t want monthly fees. So I visit them in person, collect updated prices, take notes, redesign menus, and print everything for them. I even coordinate sign installations and outdoor banners when needed.

Real work, real relationships:
  • Meeting people naturally on the pickleball court
  • Sharing my business card after genuine conversations
  • Helping with menus, websites, and digital updates
  • Coordinating printing and sign installations for restaurants
